The Ref. 126600 is the successor to the Sea-Dweller 4000 (Ref. 116600), which was produced from 2014 to 2017, and was released in 2017, marking the 50th anniversary of the model. The case diameter has increased by 3mm from the previous model, Ref. 116600, to 43mm. It is also notable for being the first Sea-Dweller to feature a Cyclops lens. The dial features the words "SEA-DWELLER" in red, commonly known as the "Red Seed." The design, which continues the tradition of the original model, is a key factor in its popularity. The precision is set twice that of the chronometer standard, and it incorporates 14 patented technologies acquired by Rolex, employs over 90% new parts, and boasts a long power reserve of 70 hours, which is approximately double that of previous Rolex movements. This is a completely new model that pays homage to the masterpieces of the past and incorporates the latest technology.
