This is the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 116500LN. Based on the 1961 chronograph "Cosmograph," this legendary model was introduced in 1963 bearing the "Daytona" name. The name is deeply associated with the Daytona International Speedway, which opened in 1959, and Rolex served as its official timekeeper. The sixth-generation Ref. 116500LN is a stainless steel model released in 2016. Its greatest evolution from its predecessor, the Ref. 116520, is the adoption of the "Cerachrom bezel." Made of highly hard, scratch-resistant, corrosion-resistant ceramic, it also resists UV fading, achieving both toughness and beauty. This design was first introduced in the Everose gold model (Ref. 116515LN) in 2011, and is now available in stainless steel. The dial is available in either black or white. While black has been the most popular color up until now, the white dial of the Ref. 116500LN stands out with its striking contrast with the black bezel. The white dial, in particular, has a black inset dial ring instead of silver, giving it a bold and sporty look. Symbolizing history and evolution, this is a watch that represents the modern Daytona.
