The Aquanaut collection was launched in 1997 as a model symbolizing sporty elegance. The Ref. 5968A, released in 2018, is the first Aquanaut model equipped with a chronograph. The case is large, measuring 42.2mm, commonly known as "Jumbo." The contrast between the dial's gray-graded framework and the orange hands is beautiful, and while the watch exudes a sporty look, the white gold hour and minute hands and applied indices are meticulously polished to create a luxurious feel. The flyback chronograph automatic movement, Cal. CH 28-520 C/528, is a descendant of the 5960P and 5980/1A calibers, and its movement can be admired through the see-through caseback. It's water-resistant to 12 bar, features a screw-down crown, and a rubber strap made of a seawater-resistant composite material. This is an appealing watch that exudes a casual yet elegant Patek Philippe aesthetic.
